Dr. Eric Arbetter, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Middle School Education

    Dr. Arbetter has been an assistant superintendent for the Hazelwood School District since 2013. He began his career in the Hazelwood School District as a 5th-grade teacher at Barrington Elementary School in 1996. He was promoted to instructional specialist in 2001. Dr. Arbetter served as principal of Walker Elementary School from 2004 – 2013. He received his undergraduate degree in English literature and a master’s degree in education from Washington University. He received a doctorate degree in educational administration from University of Missouri-St. Louis. Dr. Arbetter teaches graduate classes in educational leadership at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

    Dr. Arbetter is an active member of the following professional organizations: Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development; Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi; Learning Forward; National Association of Elementary School Principals; International Literacy Association; Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals; St. Louis Suburban Elementary Principals Association; and Show-Me Curriculum Coordinators Association.

    Dr. Arbetter and his wife, Kristi, have a son, Atticus.
