Going forward, the Hazelwood Thematic Middle School Selective Enrollment Committee is open for observers, patrons are welcome to observe the work of the planning committee at their meetings.
In May 2018, Hazelwood's Board of Education approved the opening of a selective enrollment middle school for gifted and talented students. The school is being planned to open in the 2019-2020 school year with this current year serving as a planning year.
Hazelwood School District has formed a committee to research best practices to develop detailed options for curriculum, programming, and admission. The committee is made up of parents, educators, and curriculum and instruction department representatives. We recognize that many more of our stakeholders can provide valuable input into the process. We welcome you to express suggestions to the committee by clicking the link above.
All Committee meetings will be held in the District's Administration Building. The meeting will take place from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., as follows:
