    My name is Sylvester Taylor II. My wife and I have lived in Hazelwood School District
    for more than a quarter-century. We have raised three daughters who attended school
    in the district.

    I have been a member of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for more
    than three decades. Prior to joining the Hazelwood School District Board of Education, I
    served as a member of the BlackJack Fire District Board of Directors and state
    legislator for Missouri’s 80th District. As a member of the Missouri House of
    Representatives, I served on the Local Government, Agriculture Business, Workforce
    Development & Financial Institutions committees.

    Currently, I am Chairman of The Electrical Workers Minority Caucus. In that role, I
    participate in a mentoring program with the Missouri Division of Youth Services. The
    program helps young people find jobs in organized labor when they enter the workforce.

    I am a proud member of New Salem M. B. Church.
