The students at Barrington Elementary School woke up bright and early Wednesday, October 5, for "Walk to School Day." This is the first walk-to-school event since 2019, and the entire community got involved. "We are excited to bring back our Walk to School Day so that we can re-engage our community and students in having fun while learning and being safe," said Barrington Elementary Principal, Dr. Sheilah Fitzgerald. The local fire department, parents, teachers, and volunteers, joined the students to ensure that the walk was safe for everyone involved. The Barrington Bulldogs also had Spike, Barrington's mascot, tag along to take pictures with students before they made it to school. Not a bad way to start the school day!
