What is the purpose of Parent U? The purpose of Parent U is to empower families to become more engaged in their children’s success in school and in life.
Why was Parent U created? Parent U is a key strategy in achieving the Hazelwood School District’s number one goal of increasing student achievement. Studies show that the most successful students are those whose parents are involved. Parent U was created to help families learn what they can do to support their children’s academic success and well-being.
Who can attend Parent U? Parent U course offerings are for everyone who wants to learn more about education, child development, wellness, personal development, and more. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, or non-parent caregivers are welcome to attend.
How much does it cost to attend a Parent U session or class? Parent U is a FREE SERVICE and is open to any family in the Hazelwood School District community.
All workshops are FREE OF CHARGE and are open to Hazelwood School District families.
