    Block Scheduling Committee 

    Name of Committee Leader(s):  
    Each high school principal was assigned to serve as the chair and they designate a co-chair for their assigned committee. 

    Purpose of the Committee: 
    The committee formed to focus on class scheduling (i.e. modified block or straight 6 or straight 7); course mappings for pathways; and Dual Enrollment/Credit and Early College Component to be implemented in the 2018-2019 school year had their first meeting June 13, 2017. The committee was divided into three subcommittees. The subcommittees are as follows: 

    1. Class Scheduling 
    2. Course Mapping for Pathways 
    3. Dual Enrollment/Credit and Early College 

    Expectations for the Committee Members: 

    1. Class Scheduling- To determine the best scheduling option for the 18-19 school year
    2. Course Mapping for Pathways- develop a user friendly booklet for students and parents that maps our courses to pathways 
    3. Dual Enrollment/Credit and Early College-research best collegiate level options for high school students 

    The committee’s work will tie into Redefining Ready.
