I have been teaching for thirty years in the St. Louis metropolitan area and this is my first year teaching Algebra at Hazelwood East. I am a graduate of St. Louis University. A former math teacher of the year for St. Louis Public Schools, I have received honors from President George W. Bush as well as St. Louis Mayors Francis Slay and Tishaura Jones.  

Student success is my success, and my class celebrates learners finding their voice and engaging in the content. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing each student's "aha!" moment when they grasp a new mathematical concept.  I strive to be the conduit between theory and application for my students and am excited to see how much we can achieve together.  

I am looking forward to our journey into numbers, formulas and equations this year!
