Prof. Erik D. Harshman
Greetings!
Welcome to the webpage of Prof. Harshman!
I am a writer and educator from St. Louis, Missouri.
I received my BA in Creative Writing (with a minor in Film) from the Santa Fe University of Art & Design, my MAT (with emphasis in English) from Webster University, my MA in English from UMSL and will soon be embarking on the journey to my PhD in English at SLU.
I have taught English at the high school level at St. Louis Public Schools for the last thirteen years (2007-2020), where I taught everything from British Literature (seniors) to College Summit; my specialty was American Literature (juniors) and AP Senior Literature (for which my students received dual credit through UMSL). Additionally, I am an adjunct professor at St. Louis Community College - Meramec and have enjoyed witnessing immense growth and progress in my students' writing there since 2010.
