I am approaching my 18th year of teaching special education. I have teaching experience at both elementary and high school levels of education.  This is my 8th year at Hazelwood East High School. I am excited to be part of the Essential Skills Department this year as well as being the Special Olympics coach for Hazelwood East.I really enjoy being outdoors and often find myself finding a body of water somewhere to either swim, fish, float or just to sit and relax. When it comes to education, I am a firm believer that all children can learn when they feel safe, appreciated and respected.

Each class has a Google classroom where the students as well as parents will have access to their work. Students will have the option to either turn in a paper copy of their work, or they can complete their assignments in Google classroom. I encourage the parents to please join the classrooms as well, so that they can see first hand what your student is working on.
