"It's impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows".....Epictetus
I'm starting my 30th year of Teaching PE/Health. I've always had the philosophy of giving an exciting environment to students and that should help them have a great experience in class. I aim to make the class exciting and fun with lead up activities to many of our individual and team sport activities that we do. We'll have Quizzes after each unit and weekly "Do Now's" for points in both PE and Health classes. I ask that the students follow the expectations and class should be one that they will enjoy.
Biography:
I went to Southeast Missouri State University and graduated in 1994 with a B.S. in Physical Education. I finished Graduate school in 1999 with an M.Ed. in School Administration from the University of MO-St Louis. I've taught in St Louis Public Schools (3 years), Confluence Charter Schools (16 years), Northwest R-1 School District (3 years), 3 years in a district no longer active. I've finished 4 years in Hazelwood and this will be the start of my 5th year in Hazelwood.
I've been married since Jan of 1995. I have 4 children (all finished with High School). They are currently 26, 22, 20 and 18. We are a family who love to travel and see the United States. We've seen about 30 states in our traveling endeavors and seen most of the MLB stadiums in our travels. When I retire, I plan to finish the MLB tour of stadiums but I'll be at Southeast Middle a few more years as I have 2 still in college. I look forward to seeing students succeed and become productive people in life.
