Hi! I am Ms. Boyer and I teach Google 101 and African History. In Google 101, we learn how to use Google docs, slides, sheets, forms, etc, while researching topics that are important to us today. We also create media for our school, like posters, fliers, and videos for sports and other events. In African History class, we learn about the continent where everyone came from. We study the land and culture and history of the 54 countries in Africa today, ending with an African Fair where we celebrate our learning together.
Biography:
When I am not at school, I love to spend time outside listening to music or reading or doing yoga. I love to travel and I lived in Senegal, West Africa after graduate school at Mizzou. I taught history there for four years, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching African History as SEMS so that our students can learn about different cultures and lands. I have two middle school aged kids and two kittens at home that keep me busy.
