Hello Jamestown Elementary School Family! My name is Darren Jeffery. I am a Teacher Substitute, responsible for instructing/coaching Spanish for the Pre-K to 2nd graders here at Jamestown Elementary.

Previously, before becoming a substitute, I was a Certified St. Louis County Police Officer for 22 years. Out of the 22 years as an officer, I spent 19 years at Jamestown as a Drug Abuse Resistance Education, D.A.R.E. Instructor, instructing 5th grade students.  Before becoming a police officer, I spent 20+ years in the USARMY. 

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Security Management and an Associate degree in Business Management and Risk Management. In addition, I have a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Substitute Certificate of License to Teach.

I have a lovely esposa of 34 years from Puerto Rico, 2 boy’s now men and 2 girls now grown ladies and a 12 year old Shitzu named Leopardo the Great aka Mondo the Leo.

In my free time, I enjoy running, pastel and pencil drawing, and driving on vacation throughout our great nation with my family.
