Ms. Signe Novak - Teacher

  • Hello Jamestown Families!

Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education

Master of Arts, Early Childhood Education

    Philosophy of Education

School is a place that every child should want to come! It serves as a safe space for students to feel excited about learning and to be academically and socially challenged. Every student is different and has different needs, so it is my belief that I must get to know each student as an individual and make decisions for that child on their academic, social, and emotional needs. It is important that I serve each student and family the best I can and create high expectations based on their own goals. School is where children come to learn, whether that be in their academics, behaviors, or how to become a lifelong learner. I am here to teach and support my students and their families.

    Personal Statement

This is my first year teaching at Jamestown Elementary! I am so excited to get to know all of my students, families, and coworkers even in these difficult times. I was previously a teacher at Carondelet Leadership Academy, a St. Louis Charter School, where I taught Kindergarten for 3 years. I love to see my students grow and accomplish personal goals. In my spare time I love to read, swim, watch TV, and spend time with my family and friends.
