Welcome Back!

Hello and welcome back to school! I am so excited to get to know not only your child, but you as well! Having at-home support and open lines of communication is an essential part of a successful school year. I would like to thank you in advance for all that you do for your child and our school. Let's have a successful 2024-2025 school year and remember it takes a village to raise a child.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Young, and I am so excited to be your child’s 7th grade teacher. During the year, I will be teaching your child World History. 

This is my 2nd year of teaching at Southeast Middle. Before my time at Southeast Middle, I have also had 20 year of teaching experience. I earned my BS degree at Harris Stowe and UMSL. I am certified in Elementary Ed, Middle School Language Arts, and Social Studies with a MS degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Throughout the year, it is important to have a strong parent-teacher relationship. If at any time you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
