“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela

Hello and welcome! I look forward to exploring many interesting topics with you this school year. I will be teaching 7th Grade World History.

In our world history class, we will explore the rich histories of Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, and Medieval Africa, Europe, and Japan. You will develop critical thinking and analytical skills as we examine how these civilizations shaped our world today. This class will help you to understand the past’s influence on current events and global cultures, fostering a deeper appreciation for history’s role in shaping our future.

If you are taking my PBL, my PBL is Creating an Alien Civilization. In this class, we will be talking about key concepts of biology, physics, astronomy, civilization, religion, government, and culture to be able to create your very own alien civilization.

Throughout the year, in all my classes, you will also complete projects, connect course concepts to your own life and community, and develop critical thinking and discussion skills.
