Ms. McCrary teaches eighth-grade mathematics. She joined the Hazelwood School District in 2007, after teaching for seven years in the Saint Louis Public Schools.
Ms. McCrary was born and raised in Saint Louis, and educated in the Saint Louis Public Schools. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Washington University in Saint Louis and her Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University. She completed the coursework for teacher certification through an alternative certification program offered at the University of Missouri – Saint Louis. She is certified in grades 5–9 Mathematics in the state of Missouri.
Ms. McCrary presents math concepts in real-world contexts, highlights careers that use these concepts and shows how math extends beyond the classroom walls. She is passionate about showing students how math is used every day.
Ms. McCrary has two adult daughters, four granddaughters, and a new Yorkie Poo puppy. She enjoys baking and decorating cakes, brownies, and cookies. She loves playing online word games. She collects Mickey Mouse paraphernalia and various coins and currency.
