Ms. Sharee Burress

My name is Sharee Burress. I have taught for 21 years. My teaching career began at St. Louis Public Schools. I began my journey at Grannemann thirteen years ago, teaching fourth and fifth grade. Currently, I am in my fifth year as a Reading Specialist. I graduated from Harris Stowe State University with a Bachelors’ Degree in Education. I furthered my education at Lindenwood University, earning my Master’s Degree in Education with a certificate in Reading. As a life-long learner, I continued my education, earning an Ed.S
(Educational Specialist Degree) in Administration as I am hopeful to one day be a school Principal.

My philosophy of education is that all children learn at different paces. We as educators need to identify the uniqueness of how that child learns best and implement it. In my reading
intervention classroom, I generate a safe, fun, and respectful learning environment. I hold high expectations for my students, as they are taught accountability for their learning. My motto is NEVER GIVE UP!
