Hello everyone, my name is Allyson Hester! I am new to the Grannemann Eagle family this year, and will serve as a 5th grade ELA teacher. A little about me, I recently graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) with my degree in Elementary Education. I also hold certifications in Special Education (K-12) and Early Childhood Education. Prior to coming to Grannemann Elementary, I spent time in a 4th grade classroom and was the previous manager of a private preschool located in South County. 

Before I found my love for teaching, I served for eight years in the United States Navy. Being in the military taught me about being a cohesive member of a unit, along with helping me discover myself as a strong leader and individual. Through the Navy I had the opportunity to travel the world, which sparked my love for learning about other cultures and, of course, food.

My beautiful family will always be a big part of who I am and play a vital role in my core values. I got married this past June in beautiful Hawaii, in an intimate beach ceremony. Together, Brandon and I have an eight-year old son, Bryson and are about to welcome our second son, Zayn, come October. My family is truly everything to me, and they make it possible for me to come and share my love with my new Grannemann family!
