Mrs. Janice Phillips
My name is Janice Phillips, and I am so happy to be a part of the Grannemann Family.
I taught with Saint Louis Public Schools for six years and this is my first year of teaching
at Grannemann Elementary. I could not have chosen a better profession than to become a teacher. The joy that teaching children to learn and become successful members of this ever-changing world is indescribable. I love, love teaching. I am a mother of three, two boys and one girl, and a wonderful husband, who I have been married to for 41 years; we were high-school sweethearts, and the rest is history. I love my family, and I love life. I try to enjoy every day to the fullest. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked for Saint Louis City Police as a Report Specialist and Patrol Support Supervisor for 31 years, retiring in 2018. While working there, I took college courses at Saint Louis Community College and then moved on to Harris Stowe State University, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in education. I then attended the University of Missouri, where I obtained my master’s degree in education. I love to travel and see the world. One of my favor places to visit is Canada; in my opinion, it is one of the cleanest places in the world. I would like to thank the Hazelwood School District for accepting me into the family.
