Mrs. Missy Keeven

My name is Missy Keeven and I am a Reading Specialist at McCurdy.  This is my 16th year teaching in the Hazelwood School District and my 3rd year at McCurdy.  I enjoy getting to know all of the students at McCurdy!  When I am not at school, I am spending time with my husband and our two boys, Joey (8) and Luke (6).  In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors.

Hi, my name is Cori Johnson. I am one of the Reading Specialists at McCurdy Elementary this school year! In the past, I have taught first, second, and third grade. In my free time, I love spending time with my family. We enjoy taking long walks, watching movies, and traveling. I have three children, two sons and one daughter. 

I love teaching reading. This year we will explore multiple reading strategies to improve decoding and comprehension. I can not wait to help our Mustangs become better readers and explore new reading adventures.

Ms. Johnna Connors

I'm Johnna Connors and this is my 23rd year with the Hazelwood School District.  I have previously worked as a classroom teacher and librarian.  This year is my second year as the Interventionist teacher at McCurdy Elementary.  I have two sons, Alex and Cristian.  Alex is in his senior year at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Cristian is a junior at Miami University in Ohio.

Ms. Tara Schillhahn

Hello McCurdy families! My name is Tara Schillhahn and I’m the school counselor. This is my 21st year in the critical work of supporting children to become their best selves. In this role, I provide classroom counseling lessons, small group counseling, and individual support while partnering with all staff AND families to ensure student success. I very much believe in outrageous love and unconditional support for all kids!
