Biography:
Veronica Wicks-Pattman is the Instructional Coach at Hazelwood Southeast Middle School. Her primary goal is to grow student achievement by providing personalized coaching, training, and research-based strategies for beginning teachers. Veronica believes the root of student advocacy is teacher advocacy. Students will reap the benefits of knowledgeable, nurtured, and supported teachers.
Veronica prides herself in fostering positive relationships with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders in various roles across the district. She has provided ongoing professional development, one-on-one coaching, and guided feedback for teachers across multiple content areas 6-8. Currently, she is working toward aligning the most current, researched-based strategies with teaching practices that will enhance student growth.
Veronica is certified in Elementary Education (1-6). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri in St. Louis and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University.
When she is not coaching, Veronica enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and traveling.
