Amanda Barton began her journey in education in 2010, teaching special education ranging from the resource role in classrooms serving K-2 students, 7-12 students and as an Essentials Skills K-5 teacher.  She served as a Special Education Director at a small rural school in Missouri and then an Educational Diagnostician for 3 years in the High School setting at For Zumwalt School District.  Amanda was deeply fulfilled in these roles and knew that she wanted to continue to devote her career to the field of Special Education and pursue more leadership roles.  In her current role as a Special Education Coordinator, a position she has held for nearly three years, Amanda continues to find joy in working with students of all ages with diverse needs and helping teachers address challenges and achieve growth.  Outside of work, she is a proud parent of two boys and cherishes spending her free time supporting their interests and making memories with them.
