Mr. Cori Cloyd
I wanted to take time to introduce myself. My name is Cori Cloyd and I will be serving as an Assistant Principal for the 23-24 school year. I am a St. Louis native, and I am very much looking forward to meeting all of the Hazelwood Central High School team and family.
This will be my 17th year in education. My journey as an educator started in Mississippi, where I taught Physical Education and coached basketball and track & field for 4 years. In my years upon returning home to St. Louis I have taught at KIPP Inspire and SEMS. In 2015 I was the founding Dean of Students at KIPP Triumph Academy. At KTA I stayed in the Dean role for 4 years before moving into an Assistant School Leader role. In 2022 I came back to Hazelwood as the 8th Grade Assistant Principal.
I’ve earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Thee Jackson State University in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. I completed my second Masters in Educational Administration and Leadership K-12 in December 2019 from Lindenwood University.
I am a firm believer that every child has the right to live choice-filled lives as they grow up. Working together with our families will be vidal to bring out the best in our students. I look forward to making this 23-24 year one to remember. If you have any questions or just would like to reach out to me to introduce yourself, please don’t hesitate to do so. I look forward to us all working together this school year.
