Ms. Teri Edwards
Director, Early Childhood Education & West ECE Site Coordinator
Teri Edwards joined the Hazelwood School District as its Director of Early Childhood Education to start the 2015-2016 school year. Ms. Edwards has been an educator since 2003. Prior to working for HSD, Teri was with the City of St. Charles School District where she served as Principal of Harris Elementary and the District's Communication Arts Facilitator for grades K-6. Ms. Edwards was also the Assistant Principal at Boone Elementary School in the Lincoln County R-III District. She has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Missouri Baptist University and taught Kindergarten in the Francis Howell School District.
Ms. Edwards currently resides in St. Charles County and has two adult daughters. She earned an Educational Specialist Degree in PK-12 Instructional Leadership with an emphasis in Andragogy and Pedagogy. She also has Master’s degrees in Educational Administration and Education, specializing in Reading Instruction, and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, all from Lindenwood University.
Ms. Edwards' belief for all students is that each student should experience a fun and nurturing learning environment, where all are given opportunities to reach their full potential. She believes that home and school work as a collaborative team in the best interest of all students.
