Mr. Anthony Smith
I have spent over 23 years in education mentoring students as a teacher, administrator, and coach. I am also an assistant executive director for Supporting Community Independence. SCI is an agency that helps individuals with disabilities or mental illness to live on their own. I earned my bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and my master’s degree in administration from McKendree University. My family is my life. I have been married to my wife, Yvonne, for 25 years and she has been in the education field for 28 years. She currently teaches at Collinsville High School. My oldest son, Mark graduated and played basketball at Mizzou and then took his COVID year of eligibility and worked on his master’s at Kansas State University. Maria is a student athlete and stellar softball player at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is going to be a senior this year and is eager to enter the working world. My youngest son, AJ is also a student athlete and plays basketball at Southern Indiana University in Evansville.
