Hello Lawson Family!

My name is Melissa Adkins and I am the very proud principal of Lawson Elementary. I am also a very proud community member of Florissant and I have four children who attend the Hazelwood School District. My career is more than how I earn a living, it is my passion and my contribution to the community I live in. I am in the unique position of living in the attendance area of the school I lead. This makes the work I do very personal for me, it provides me with incredible motivation and an intense desire to ensure that Lawson is the very best possible school, filled with exceptional educators working together to provide a quality education to our students. Lawson not only provides a quality education to our students, but it also provides a positive, caring, and nurturing environment where students feel valued, heard, and respected.
