Philosophy of Education

I believe that all children deserve an equal opportunity to learn in an equitable environment surrounded by individuals who believe in them and care. Our differences are what make us unique and bring various perspectives to a learning environment. I am passionate about helping children discover their strengths and working with students, teachers, and parents together in collaboration to meet the needs of our students.

Personal Statement

For over 20 years, I have worked with children and families in various environments. It has been through these experiences that my drive to support and advocate for children has grown. I graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and double minors in Black World Studies and Child Studies. I earned my Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in School Psychology from Indiana University. I also am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I believe in the importance of lifelong learning and continuing to explore the latest research to inform the use of evidence based practices in our schools. I am passionate about advocating for equitable practice, early intervention, and quality service delivery.
