Degrees and Certifications:
Master of Arts in Athletic Administration, William Woods University
This is my “sweet sixteen” school year. I started my career at Hazelwood West High School in 2008 as a Social Studies teacher. After 3 years, I moved to the middle school level, where I taught 8th grade US History for 12 years. I am excited about beginning a new phase of my career as I transition to teaching PE and Health this school year. I earned my undergraduate degree from Lindenwood University and also ran track and cross country during this time. My master’s degree from William Woods University in Athletic Administration was completed in 2012.
I have been married for 16 years and have 4 children (including a set of twins) who range in age from 8 to 14. In my spare time, I love cheering on my children in their activities, going to trivia nights, and shopping at Aldi. I also enjoy running and have completed several ultra marathons.
A quote that embodies me as an educator is, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t- you’re right!” I believe having a positive mindset is the first step to success.
