This is my first year at West Middle School. As an educator, I bring years of experience in various roles (Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion instruction, Wind Ensemble, Pep and Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Dean of Students, and Supervisor of Music Education). In addition to teaching secondary and college education, teaching and working with a diverse population of students has been most rewarding.

I also bring a proven track record for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships, leading innovative efforts in developing and delivering high-quality music education curricula. As a leader, it is without a doubt that having an Outreach program such as Partners in Music Education and Honors Bands for middle school students strengthens ties with the public and the recruitment base for the program and department. The ensemble procedures, musical training, and the selection of great musical literature will help ensure that students are prepared to enroll and successfully matriculate in their musical educational pursuits.
