I have been teaching for 28 years, with the past 17 at Hazelwood West Middle School. I taught at an alternative school in Illinois before coming to Hazelwood. At WMS, until this year, I was an 8th English Language Arts (ELA) teacher, but now I'm teaching 8th grade social studies. I'm excited about this new opportunity to use the skills students use in ELA  and apply those skills to social studies. Students will be given the opportunity to master reading strategies and write constructed responses and essays.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends.
