Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Twyla Lee
I received my Bachelors degree from Harris Stowe State College, Masters degrees from the University of Phoenix and Lindenwood University, and my Education Specialist Degree. I currently hold multiple teaching certifications/endorsements in the State of Missouri, Georgia and Illinois.
Prior to being in the role of Assistant Principal, I spent 21 years as an Educator providing teaching and learning experiences to middle school scholars up to teaching aspiring teachers at Harris Stowe State University College of Education.
Throughout my career, my main focus has been centered on being accountable to students, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure that I provide the best educational experience and support to the youth entrusted to me. When I first started teaching, all I knew was that I had to be the “best” teacher I could be and that my failure would not only be my failure.
So, throughout my career, I have demonstrated my commitment to being the best teacher I could be by providing engaging learning experiences for students and staff and just by being the teacher I would like for my son to have.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time and creating memories with my son Mekhi, mom, dad, family, socializing with friends, being active in the community, and event planning with my nonprofit organization Bridge the Gap314, and watching the news!
