“Receiving the Woman of Distinction award was an unexpected honor. I live my life trying to do the right thing and give back to my community,” said Dr. Becoat. “I'm focused on living in a way that will leave a strong legacy of service and justice. Quite often, the world's ills seem overwhelming, and we feel we aren't making a large impact. However, every opportunity to serve others makes a difference. A pebble thrown into the water ripples outward, and so does our service.”

Recipients of the Women of Distinction Award inspire others with their commitment to social change, empowerment, and the advancement of women's rights. Through their remarkable achievements and dedication, they serve as role models and catalysts for positive change, leaving a lasting legacy of impact and inspiration.
