The musical and academic talent of HSD students was on full display during the annual Christian Hospital Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.
Omolabake Oyebamiji, a Hazelwood West High School student, and Eryonne Jefferson, a Hazelwood Central High School student, were awarded the Drum Major Scholarship. The students both have an interest in healthcare. The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement, community service, and a scholarship essay. Both students penned moving pieces about their commitment to community service.
The Hazelwood Central High School Vocal ensemble was the featured entertainment for the celebration. The students delivered a moving medley of music.
