Appointments for Required Immunizations

Dear Hazelwood School District Families,

The first day of school is Monday, August 24.

This is a reminder that the state of Missouri requires all students enrolling in public schools to be up to date on their immunizations or have a physical exemption card on file before starting school. This is still a requirement for students who attend 100% virtual school. Again, this is a state requirement.

The immunizations are especially important for students entering kindergarten, 8th and 12th grades as those are groups that require additional vaccines. To assist HSD families, we are partnering with Children's Hospital and CareSTL. Both organizations are accepting immunization appointments through HSD. Proper social distancing and sanitization practices will be followed during the appointments.

Children's Hospital is working under the Vaccinations for Children program, so families that are underinsured, noninsured, or that have Medicare/Medicaid can utilize this service. CareSTL is offering physicals and accepting all patients regardless of the type of insurance.

Please contact HSD at 314-953-5120 and we will connect you with a Health Services team member who can arrange your family’s immunization appointment. We know these are challenging times, and we appreciate your commitment to the health of our community. Appointments are filling up fast, so please take advantage of this opportunity.
