Hazelwood School District Superintendent Dr. Nettie Collins-Hart received a North County Churches Uniting for Racial Harmony and Justice (NCCU) Education Award.
The award recognizes Dr. Collins-Hart’s commitment to racial harmony and justice along with service to her community.
Dr. Collins-Hart was honored at the fourteenth annual NCCU Awards Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 7 at Christian Hospital Northeast.
This school year marks Collins-Hart’s third as superintendent of the Hazelwood School District, and this past summer, she led the district’s efforts in crafting and unveiling the Hazelwood NOW Strategic Plan.
Under her leadership, the District successfully opened two thematic schools, Hazelwood East Middle School/8th Grade Center accelerated program and the Hazelwood Opportunity Center which houses five alternative education programs and community resource partners.
