Local Administrator Represents School District on Elite Panel

Regional directors for the St. Louis Teacher of the Year Program selected Hazelwood School District Human Resources Director Dr. Evelyn Woods to serve on an elite scoring panel to select 10 awardees for the 2018 St. Louis Regional Teacher of the Year Award.

“Dr. Woods was selected due to her expertise and experience in recognizing quality and excellence in teaching,” said Denise Risner, facilitator for St. Louis Regional Teacher of the Year. “With applicants from all over the St. Louis metro area, it is important for us to find volunteers to select our awardees who have great experience in the classroom.  Many hours are spent by our judges in training, reading, and scoring these applications.”

Before being promoted to human resources director, Dr. Woods served as principal of Grannemann Elementary School for six years. “Recognizing outstanding educators is one of the most important things we as leaders can do,” said Keith Bausman assistant superintendent of human resources. Thank you, Dr. Woods, for your dedication and for representing the Hazelwood School District.

St. Louis Regional Teacher of the Year program is sponsored by DESE, Monsanto, Boeing, and the St. Louis Regional Professional Development Center.
