The School Board approved the following new hires during the July 24 Board of Education meeting
Dr. Demetrius M. Adams will assume the role principal of Hazelwood Central Middle School. Adams currently serves as the assistant principal of Ferguson Middle School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, two master’s degrees one in secondary education, and the other in education administration. He also earned a doctorate of education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Melanie P. Davis will assume the role assistant principal of Hazelwood Southeast Middle School. Davis has served for nine years as an assistant principal. Most recently, she was the assistant principal of Greater Lawndale High School for Social Justice in the Chicago Public School System. Prior to this, she served as a school counselor and as a summer school administrator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education; two master’s degrees, one in counseling education and the other in education administration, both from Lindenwood University.
