This is my 22nd year as a teacher in the Hazelwood School District.  During this time, I enjoyed 14 years as an English and Spanish teacher at my Alma Mater--Hazelwood Central.  This is my 9th year teaching at Hazelwood West Middle.  I love the community of learners at WMS and feel so lucky to be a part of it! 

This year, I will be teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Spanish at WMS.  I believe students learn best through play and interactive activities.   My goal for class each day is two-fold: Students gain proficiency in communicating and understanding Spanish, and they remark on how quickly class went as they move to exit my room at the dismissal bell.  Students will participate in active warm-up activities that prime their brains for learning, engage in self-paced exploration of new content,  and cooperate in games at the end of class to cement what they learned.  

I am a wife, a mother of two teenage sons, and have two dogs and a cat.  When I am not teaching your children, I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, and supporting my boys in their endeavors!
