This is my 12th year at Hazelwood West Middle School, 11 of those years teaching 6th grade math. This year I am excited to switch to 6th grade Social Studies, which was the subject for my initial teaching certification.  My wife is also a teacher in HSD.  She's been at West High for five years, teaching theater and directing plays at Hazelwood West High School.  Before that, she taught 8th grade Social Studies at Northwest Middle for 23 years.  

 

We have three boys in middle and elementary school, and our niece has been living with us for several years. She just finished her prerequisites for nursing school at St. Charles Community College, and we are very proud!  With all of the sports, coaching, band activities, after-school plays, and my involvement in public education lobbying (politics is a passion of mine), we are a very busy family.  But I wouldn't trade it for the world.
