Before joining HSD in 2013, I held key roles with Riverview Gardens School District, as an Assistant Principal at the High School, teaching Social Studies, Science, and Gateway to Technology classes. As a Gateway to Technology teacher, I hold certifications in eight of the eleven disciplines. I bring more than 23 years of educational experience to my new role. I have taught classes like Design and Modeling, Science of Technology, Magic of Electrons, Medical Detectives, Robotics Vex and Fischertechniks, Computer Science, and Apps Creators.
 
I have earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Science and Social Studies in the Middle School from Harris-Stowe State University and a Masters of Ed Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. I also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Secondary Administration from Lindenwood University. My goal as Assistant Principal is to help our students achieve their academic aspirations and to give them the drive to go beyond that and pursue college or fulfilling careers.
