Lesley Covington
Hello, my name is Lesley Covington. Welcome to the 2022-23 school year here at Arrowpoint Elementary. I have over 20 years of experience in education, with a big heart for teaching young students and I’m so very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! My hope is that we are successful at building a community of learning and fellowship among both children and adults. I strongly believe that children deserve to learn and live in a safe, structured, and loving environment both at school and at home. In our classroom, we will participate in whole group, small group, and individual instruction focusing on reading, writing, math and social skills. We also use independent literacy & math choices, as well as hands on activities on a daily basis.
Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten!

This is my second year teaching ADA Pre-K here at Arrowpoint. I have ten years teaching experience in education with various age groups in various school settings. My background in education includes a bachelor’s in early childhood along with a master’s in elementary education with an emphasis in reading from UMSL. This school year, I am hoping that we will all be successful learners through this new virtual learning environment. This year will be a challenge, but very rewarding! My hobbies include spending time with my daughter and dog, listening to music, dancing, reading, walking outdoors, traveling, swimming, watching movies, shopping, decorating, etc., and of course learning, and teaching others.
