Hello Jamestown Families!! My name is Heather Wombacher and this is my 20th year teaching vocal music here at Jamestown. Former students are always surprised that I am still here, but I always tell them that Jamestown is a special place and there is no reason for me to go anywhere else.
I received my Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1999 and my Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University in 2003.
I have been married to my husband Tom for almost 13 years and we have two wonderful boys Nolan who is 9 and Nevin who is 4 and a crazy dog named Boomer.
When not at the baseball field with Nolan, I like to read, go on family bike rides, take my boys on different adventures and I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and Marvel. Of course music is near and dear to my heart and you will often hear it played or someone singing daily in our house.
I teach my students that music is always evolving and is a lifelong learning experience. Music touches the soul and can evoke many different emotions at a given moment. This quote sums up my belief in music, “Where words fail, music speaks” Hans Christian Andersen. All you have to do is listen.
