Project Lit is a national, grassroots literacy movement developed by a teacher and a group of high schoolers from Nashville, TN. The purpose of Project Lit is to empower students as readers and leaders in our schools and communities. Students meet to read, discuss and celebrate high quality culturally relevant books. Our goal is to amplify voices of students of color, improve literacy and encourage all readers to become lifelong leaders.  Students interested in participating can join at the beginning of each new reading cycle and must have a signed permission slip to attend. All grade levels are welcome. Separate books are selected for each grade level.
