Hello Jamestown families!
This my eighth year in the Hazelwood School District. I am the new Instructional Coach for Jamestown Elementary School.
I have served in the Hazelwood School District for 7 years. I have had the pleasure of teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade and serving as a Reading Specialist. I have also had the privilege of serving as a Summer School Site Coordinator for two summers.
As the instructional coach I interact with teachers on all aspects of instruction, including planning, assessing learning, and differentiating to meet students’ needs. I assist teachers in analyzing student achievement data in professional learning communities to positively change instruction. I model effective teaching to classroom teachers K-5. I train teachers on the administration and use of formative and summative assessments. I provide individualized teacher or group planning, related to effective instruction aligned to the curriculum and Missouri Learning Standards. I also provide feedback to teachers on their instruction.
I graduated from Lindenwood University in 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in reading from Lindenwood University in 2015. I am currently pursuing my EdS in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.
My favorite quote states, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world!" I believe every student has the power to become successful. It takes both the school and home to make that possible.
If you have any questions about curriculum and instruction please contact me and I will be happy to assist in any way possible!
