Welcome, Dr. Bonita E. Jamison!

Today, the Hazelwood School District proudly welcomes Dr. Bonita E. Jamison as its new superintendent.

A respected educational leader with more than 25 years of experience in public education, Dr. Jamison brings a strong record of academic excellence, student-centered leadership, and community engagement. She succeeds Dr. Nettie Collins-Hart, whose decade of leadership helped strengthen the district.

Dr. Jamison has a personal connection to Hazelwood as a former resident and the parent of a Hazelwood West graduate. Most recently, she served as superintendent of the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District, where the district earned the highest Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP 6) score among K–12 districts in the state.

“I am truly honored to be selected to serve as the next Superintendent of Hazelwood School District,” said Dr. Jamison. “This is a community with a strong foundation and a deep commitment to students, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it. I look forward to listening, learning, and building relationships with students, staff, families, and the community as we continue the work already underway.”

The Hazelwood Board of Education selected Dr. Jamison following a comprehensive search process that included input from students, families, staff, and community members.
