Play, Explore, Imagine: Cold Water’s New Playground is Here!

Students at Cold Water Elementary School will kick off the 2026-2027 school year with an exciting new place to play! Over the summer, the school's brand new playground was completed, creating a fun, engaging, and inclusive outdoor space that will welcome students when classes begin in August. 

The new playground features modern equipment designed to encourage active play, imagination, and social interaction. Students will enjoy a variety of climbing structures, slides, balance elements, and play features that help develop strength, coordination, confidence, and teamwork while providing opportunities for creative exploration. The updated playground also offers a safe and inviting environment where students can build friendships, stay active, and make lasting memories during recess. 

"Our new playground is more than just a place to play—it's a place where students will learn, grow, and connect with one another," said Cold Water Elementary Principal Nicholas Traughber. "We are excited to welcome our students back this fall and watch them enjoy this wonderful new space for years to come." 

The new playground reflects the district's continued commitment to providing high-quality learning environments that support the whole child—both inside and outside the classroom. Cold Water Elementary students are sure to be smiling as they discover all the fun that awaits them on their new playground this August.
