HSD Educators Present Research at 2026 WashU Educator Showcase

Fifteen educators from the Hazelwood School District were among more than 20 teachers from across the St. Louis region selected to present research at the 2026 Educator Showcase hosted by Washington University in St. Louis on May 5 at WashU’s Danforth Campus.

The annual Showcase highlights a year-long practitioner research program through WashU’s Institute for School Partnership, where educators work alongside researchers and instructional specialists to study challenges in education, test innovative strategies, and share solutions that support student success. Participants presented their findings to teachers, administrators, researchers, and community members from across the region.

HSD educators participating in the 2026 Showcase were Tamara Booker, Margaret Flynn, Francesca Meixner-Hendrix, Dorothy Moore, Melissa Politte, Darnetta Wafford, Melissa Copeland-Wilson, Kara Grice, Kimberly Reese, Ambrozine Choice, Adrian Sperduto, Tracy Gamayo, Shamya Day-Smith, Anne Foret, and John Webb.

The district congratulates these educators for representing Hazelwood through leadership, innovation, and a commitment to improving outcomes for students.
