HSD Educators Named 2026 Caring Educator Honorees

The Hazelwood School District is proud to celebrate two more outstanding educators who have been selected as 2026 Edward and Esther Haywood Caring Educator Honorees by the Charles E. Fleming Legacy Foundation.

Dr. Evelyn Woods, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, and Michelle Prather, Teacher in Residency Mentor and Recruitment Coach, will join Dr. Ingrid Carter, principal of Keeven Elementary School, who was previously announced as an honoree.

The honorees will be recognized at the foundation’s annual Holiday Joy & Jazz Awards Brunch on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at the Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta Hotel in St. Louis. The annual celebration honors individuals whose leadership, service and contributions have made a meaningful impact in their communities.

HSD congratulates Dr. Woods, Ms. Prather, and Dr. Carter on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates their dedication to supporting students, staff and the Hazelwood School District community
