Hazelwood School District Celebrates a Successful 2025 Back 2 School Fair

The Hazelwood School District kicked off the 2025-2026 school year in style with its annual Back 2 School Fair on Saturday, August 9. Held simultaneously at Central, East, and West high schools, the event welcomed hundreds of students and families from across the District for a day of community celebration, school spirit, and academic readiness.

Each site was filled with excitement as families enjoyed live performances, connected with community vendors, and received free backpacks and school supplies — all designed to help students start the year off strong. The fairs also provided valuable information on district programs and resources, ensuring families were well-prepared and informed.

“This event reflects what Hazelwood is all about — community, opportunity, and support,” said Dr. Audrey Wittenauer, federal programs specialist. “It was wonderful to see so many families come together to celebrate education and the new school year.”
