Hazelwood Central Students Make an Impact Through C-Day

Hazelwood Central High School students are learning that education extends far beyond the classroom through the school’s C-Day experiences.
Recently, students took their learning into the community with a visit to Spanish Lake County Park, where they participated in park clean-up efforts. Working together to care for a shared community space, students had the opportunity to serve others, collaborate with their peers, and see the difference they can make through meaningful action.
The experience reflects the spirit of C-Day, where students are encouraged to learn, apply, serve and lead.

As October begins, Central’s C-Day theme shifts from “We Learn” to “We Empower.” Students will put that theme into action through a new partnership with Operation Food Search, exploring food insecurity and learning how individuals and organizations can work together to strengthen their communities.
Through these experiences, Central students are discovering that what they know, what they can do, and how they choose to contribute can have a meaningful impact on others.
